Report from Korea

[Seoul] This year, on The Supreme Master Ching Hai Day, Korean initiates held a wonderful vegetarian cooking festival at the SM Vegetarian Buffet, and invited local fellow practitioners and other guests to come. We hold this type of festival each year, usually with performances and games, in which all the initiates and guests participate and enjoy themselves. Since we hold the event annually, participants' talent at cooking is becoming more and more excellent. Therefore, it becomes increasingly difficult to score each dish prepared. The cooks displayed various foods that seemed impossible to make only with vegetables, grains and beans. After the foods were ranked by judges, including children, a sister who cooked rice gruel boiled with red-beans received the grand prize. All the other participants received Master's calendars as gifts. After the cooking festival, we all watched a video introducing Master, and then participated in many modern games such as darts, QUIZ, and DDR, as well as Korean traditional games. Older initiates became like children when playing the games together. The newly introduced game "DDR" gave children the opportunity to join together and enjoy themselves immensely.
