from South
Africa
[Durban]
The Supreme Master Ching Hai presented a lecture at Kendra Hall on November
26, 1999, during Her South African Lecture Tour. Welcoming Her were dancers
from the Suryalanga Dance Company, led by Mrs. S. Govender. Their dance,
entitled "My African Dream," was vibrant and colorful in its fusion of
Indian and African rhythms. On behalf of Master Ching Hai, gifts of US$100
each (totaling US$1,100) and sample booklets were presented to dancers
as tokens of appreciation. These unexpected gifts delighted the young
dancers. Expressing her appreciation, the leader said that the money would
contribute to the high school and university education of the dancers
by providing for tuition and books. She also expressed a desire to keep
in touch with Master Ching Hai, and the privilege and honor of performing
for Her again.

Dancers from the Suryalanga
Dance Company
receive loving gifts from Master.
